“K” versus “M”…
In business we often mention millions "M" as a measure of success on a grand scale. However, in personal endeavours, reaching a mere thousand "K" can elicit a greater sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
After spending years in the corporate world, I never truly grasped the painstaking process of building something from scratch, step by step, and the slow returns it brings. In the realm of social media, particularly YouTube, success can be measured in various ways. However, when you upload your first video, the initial indicator that captures attention is the number of views. I vividly recall witnessing the count climb from 0 to 10, then 100. It lingered in the realm of three digits for a while, prompting me to optimize the video by altering the thumbnail and tags. Through multiple adjustments, the viewer count eventually reached 1000, displaying the coveted "K" abbreviation. This achievement felt significant to me, especially when I observed other creators with videos surpassing 10K or even 100K views. Previously, I had underestimated the efforts behind others' creations if they hadn't reached a thousand views. However, this experience taught me to value the hard work invested in producing quality content and illuminated the fact that nothing should be taken for granted.
MR EARL LESSON LEARNED: It became clear that not only was it necessary to deliver high-quality videos, but also to continually monitor performance and adjust post options, such as thumbnails and tags, to maintain momentum.
